Quick story...
A few years back I was walking down the hallway of the high school that I teach at and ran into one of my former students who at that time was a graduating senior. After some light exchanges, the conversation turned to his plans after high school. He was very unsure, even nonchalant, about what he wanted to do. When pressed on why had he not spent the time doing more to prepare for life after high school he replied with silence and shrugged shoulders before walking away.
Greetings!!!
I hope all is well with you.
I was recently asked by one of my students at the University of South Alabama, “How do you become successful?” As I was thinking how to answer this question, a picture popped in my mind of my mother baking one of her awesome pound cakes. You see, a cake contains many ingredients and each one plays a role towards making a good cake. Without these key ingredients, the cake will be lacking. For example, if the cake does not have the right amount of yeast, it will not rise. Nobody wants to eat a flat cake.
